Eid Al-Adha will be celebrated at the Grand Mosque of Paris where the Eid prayers will also be performed congregationally by the Muslim citizens.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to saphirnews website, Dalil Bubakr, custodian of the mosque has issued a statement announcing that a ceremony will be held on the auspicious occasion at the mosque on October 15. He said that the mosque will host the Eid prayers which will begin at 8:45 a.m. local time. He wished a blissful Eid for all Muslims, particularly those in France, and invited the Muslim citizens to participate in the prayers like previous years and hold a glorious ceremony. Like Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha begins with a Sunnah prayer of two rakats followed by a sermon (khuṭbah). Eid al-Adha celebrations start after the descent of the Hajj from Mount Arafat, a hill east of Mecca. In the lunar Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah. In the international Gregorian calendar, the dates vary from year to year, drifting approximately 11 days earlier each year./149
